Grains

On its different properties, Ferme St-Ours produces also several types of organic grains such as grain corn, soybean, wheat, etc. These cultivated grains are essentially used for animal feeding, since they are part of the composition of hens’ mash. In addition, on all lands owned the Ferme St-Ours and Ferme des Patriotes, grains are cultivated in a soil free of herbicides and pesticides.

Every year, crop rotation is performed to ensure a rich and productive land in order to reduce the risks of plant diseases.
